Fillers

As you get older, your skin becomes less elastic and loses firmness. This leads to fine lines and wrinkles, sagging skin, and loss of volume. At TC Body Laser Sculpting & Aesthetics, nurse practitioner Tammy Chambers offers patients a variety of dermal fillers to address these issues and more. Fillers FAQ

What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are injectable solutions that fill shallow contours, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles of your face. Dermal fillers also add volume to thin lips, making them look plump and full.

Although dermal fillers contain different solutions, most rely on hyaluronic acid to add volume to your cheeks and facial contours. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance.

Getting dermal fillers is a minimally invasive procedure that temporarily counteracts the effects of aging. In less than 30 minutes, you can restore volume in your face and cheeks that can last for 4 – 18 months or more.

What should I expect during a dermal filler treatment?

When you visit TC Body Laser Sculpting & Aesthetics for dermal fillers, you can enjoy a few minutes of rest and relaxation in the office’s charming, spa-like waiting room. Enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of champagne as you take a moment to unwind.

Tammy assesses your skin and maps the areas to be enhanced with dermal fillers. She marks the treatment area to optimize the injection site.

Once the mapping is complete, Tammy prepares your skin with a cleanser and an antibacterial agent. In some cases, she applies numbing cream to minimize any discomfort. She then administers the dermal filler injections.

What kind of results can I expect from dermal fillers?

When you have a dermal filler treatment, your preliminary results are instantaneous. Depending on the type of dermal filler Tammy uses, you can expect your results to last 4-18 months or longer depending on the product.

Even though your face and skin look rejuvenated, you may still have some recovery time. The injection sites may be slightly sore and swollen, but shouldn’t dissuade you from most activities. Tammy recommends avoiding any intense physical activity for 1-2 days to reduce the risk of bruising or swelling.

When wrinkles and voids in your facial features make you look older than you feel, find a solution that works. Call Tammy’s office today or go online to book your initial consultation.
